People said you could open the secret door but I could not figure out how to do it. People said you could take the ferry that went across to Sausalito, though it was expensive. So I decided to try that.
I didn't feel like another long trip, after all my extra driving. I liked my time in the car, doing 80 miles per hour. But I was new at this and didn't know how to get from one ferry terminal door to the next. Even still, the adventure seemed worth it.
There were lots of shops on the wharf, and the harborside houses were pretty and historic. And on the way back, as we were going along these hills, I suddenly heard chirping on my left. I looked up, and up, and up. I saw a gaggle of birds just over a streetlight, in the trees.
They were the most suspicious birds I have ever seen, but they were beautiful and colorful. I love the way they fly. Then, I realized where I was.
I was at the top of a hill in this bay-side city, in one of the most beautiful and historic neighborhoods, gazing at birds. I really needed to rest that night, but I had some fun bird-watching.
What a great way to begin a trip!
