With the impending deadline, Brandy put on her boots and took off. She was going to make these tiles if she needed to!
She was greeted at the door by her grandfather.
"Let me help," he said, taking the bricks in his hands.
A little while later, he was finished.
Brandy handed him a paintbrush.
"It's a hot day and I won't be out long."
He wiped his forehead, and with a big smile said, "You are the smartest gal this side of the Mississipi river, ain't you?"
Her smile was wide as she replied, "If you don't mind, I'm going to be in that hot shop till sundown!"
I was waiting outside the door for two days and Brandy kept working through every hour of the night. She wouldn't open the door and was adamant about finishing her project.
When she finally came out and got into the car I asked them what was taking them so long.
"We've been to Greece and Italy" was her response. Perhaps she was delirious from the heat of that shop.
