At the age of three, he took up lessons with his father. At the age of eight, he made his first public performance at a local musical show.

After serving with the Australian Military Police, he switched to radio broadcasting and helped host "Men With Keyboard", a "serious and informative program" on Australia's Radio 2FM.

He later took up exercise and running and ran his first marathon at the age of 40.

Jared is an actor and playwright based in Oakland, California. While he has performed in theater, television and film for nearly a decade, Jared has also been involved in several rock bands and now manages a woodworking shop.
